ARTICLE 1: GENERAL

This statement is in continuation with Terms and Conditions mention on the portal www.credit.profeza.com, And hence, the general definitions and provisions of the Terms and Conditions apply. The Provider operates the Service in full compliance with the Section 43A a mandatory data protection regime in Indian law. The Provider respects its users privacy and therefore protects your personal data. Profeza is not a Web service that exists primarily in order to collect personal data. For user’s convenience and easy to follow, the Provider has arranged all information on privacy and data protection in a "Qu estions & Answers" section. Nevertheless, this statement is a binding agreement between the Provider and each User. The User expressly consents to storage and processing of his/her personal data, as mentioned and described in this statement.

ARTICLE 2: MASTER DATA

Master data, in here, describes all the data related directly to a User as a person, irrespective of the actual usage of the Service. Which includes User’s name, email address and other contact information, birthday, gender, research vita, information about what are the publications he/she published till date and their opinions in context to their actual contributions associated with a single publication. Apart from this profeza also collects the data that user may provide that are associated with the articles they have published. credit stores data you enter and submit on the Web service; i.e., if you submit your opinion about the contributions that you made towards the publication and also your opinion on your co-authors contributions associated with the articles that have co-authored with them. Apart from this credit also collects the raw data with the names of rationale of the design, raw data, repeat data, supporting data, and failed hypothesis associated with the articles, which may include text and image files that the user may enter, copy&paste and also uploads to the web service that the provider provides to its users. credit will also process your master data randomly to provide dynamic Web pages to you that are individually adapted considering your master data. Furthermore, profeza reserves the right to process your master data to generate anonymous statistics. Such anonymous statistics will contain no information about any individual user and any updates. Credit may process your email address solely to send emails to you containing information or notifications about the Service. Profeza reserves the right to attach a minor part to such emails which may contain advertisements for products and services of any third party. You can see and edit your data on your profile page section of the web service. You can also delete or edit all of your master data. If you wish to cancel your credit subscription (if you wish to do so, please contact profeza by email at connect@profeza.com with a subject line mentioning unsubscribe), then credit team and its associates will delete all your data. Unlike some other Web services, Credit will definitely not store any personal data of ex-users.
Author or Primary Author - Is the author/user who is invited by Publisher to submit the data associated with the article. Authors once signed-up through the E-mail link they receive and submit the data associated with their article. Primary Authors can Invite their Co-Authors to submit data additionally, but final rights of submitting the data to the publisher vests in the hands of Primary Authors.
Co-Author - Is the author who joins Credit upon receiving an Invitation mail from Author who has been initially invited by Publisher. Co-Author can only submit data which would then finally be reviewed by Author.
Reviewer - Publishers upon receiving the data from an Author, they can Invite a Reviewer to access the data submitted by article and give their opinion which would then be reviewed by Publisher.

ARTICLE 3: TRAFFIC DATA and COOKIES

Traffic data is data about your Credit usage. This is mainly tracking information on log-in times, duration, and activities while logged in Traffic data also includes your IP address/es and information sent automatically by your Web browser such as your browser software, preferred languages and operating system. All the information collected will be used to enhance the usability and experiences of web services provided by Credit. Like many websites, credit.profeza.com uses “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies for two purposes. First, we utilise persistent cookies to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to the Site. Second, we utilise session ID cookies to enable certain features of the Site, to better understand how you interact with the Site and to monitor aggregate usage by Academia.edu Users and web traffic routing on the Site.

Private messages will generally not be shared with any third party. credit may nevertheless be obliged to share or grant access to private messages if ordered to do so by a court or a competent judicial authority.

When this Statement on Privacy and Data Protection changes, you will be informed at the time you login to profeza for the first time after the change was made, and you will be requested to agree to the new Statement on Privacy and Data Protection. profeza won't make any binding changes to this Statement on Privacy and Data Protection without your express consent.
